Could you guess what was one of the main reasons for the first trips and geographical discoveries ??? Strangely enough, it was to trade. Merchants were looking for new places to sell their goods, thus opening new edges and returning with unusual things, exotic spices or precious metals. As time went on, traveling traders were changing fairs and markets and today, thanks to progress, there are gigantic shopping and entertainment centers where you can eat, relax, and buy everything you need. We want to tell you about them.

SC Victoria Gardens

Victoria Gardens is the largest shopping mall in Western Ukraine, positioning itself as a hub for the whole family. The highlight of this mall is the large amount of live and artificial vegetation used in the decoration, as well as the fountain inside.

There are about 160 stores with household items, clothing, toys, cosmetics and appliances, as well as a food court, where you can buy national, oriental and vegetarian dishes, fast food, ice cream or coffee.

There is a children's playground, bowling alley and Papashon interactive cafe, as well as a Multiplex cinema.

The advantage of the mall is its close location to the Airport (7 minutes) and a relatively small number of visitors.

SC King Cross Leopolis

King Cross Leopolis is the first major shopping and entertainment center in Western Ukraine. Some of the advantages of this mall are the convenient location - King Cross is located on the outskirts of Lviv, the presence of a nearby hypermarket "Epicenter" and a large grocery supermarket "Ashan".

Among the entertainments that can be visited in the mall should be noted a large food court, ice skating rink, bowling "City-Bowling", children's complex "Fly Kids" and cinema "Planet Cinema" and a 5D cinema.

SC Forum Lviv

The third largest shopping mall in Lviv can be considered the most popular in Lviv, and all thanks to its convenient location - it is easy walk to Forum Lviv shopping mall within 20 minutes from Rynok Square.

There are about 115 stores with clothes, appliances and cosmetics from Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers, a supermarket "Silpo" and a large visa center "VFS Global".

The most popular entertainment options for visitors are: large food court, Cinema “Planeta Kino”, children's area. The highlight of this shopping center is the terrace with a beautiful view on the city.

SC Vernisage Lviv

The smallest and newest shopping center is located in the central part of the city, near Rynok square. It is probably Vernisage Lviv that will be the most relevant choice for tourists who want to buy novelties of Ukrainian brands, as only Ukrainian manufacturers are presented here.

Among the advantages of this shopping center is the beautiful terrace, restaurant and luggage storage.

Opera Passage, one of Lviv's most ancient shopping malls, located on Svobody Avenue, can attract tourists with plenty of branded clothing and perfumes from Ukrainian and foreign designers.

The highlight of the shopping center is a large beauty salon and SPA, as well as the only private museum in Ukraine, exhibiting authentic Ukrainian attire and jewelry.

It also has a supermarket and a restaurant with a beautiful terrace.

Trade and production complex "Pivdenny" is a giant shopping complex boasting more than a thousand stores selling clothes, cosmetics, and building materials. Several sports clubs and children's entertainment centers are also located here. The largest shopping center in Lviv, "Victoria Gardens," is located nearby.

SPARTAK

In 2019, a new shopping and entertainment complex called "Spartak" opened in Lviv. Its unique feature is the presence of the "SportLife" sports club alongside the typical shops and entertainment venues found in such establishments. The facilities in the complex begin their operations at 8am (supermarket) and end at 3am (cinema). The convenient location of the shopping and entertainment complex allows for easy access from the Galician and Shevchenko districts of Lviv, which can be reached in just a few minutes. It is located at the intersection of Zamarstynivska, Hetmana Mazepa, and Varshavska streets.

Fabrik

The "Fabrik" shopping center opened its doors in May 2022 despite the martial law in the country and a challenging time for businesses. Operators of Ukrainian and international markets have still opened their stores in the shopping center. The first floor features the Silpo grocery store in a new format, as well as other anchor operators. On the second floor, there is a Polish clothing store, SinSay, a retailer of household appliances and electronics, Foxtrot, and JYSK, a company specializing in home goods, furniture, and furnishings. The shopping center occupies only the first two floors, while an office center is located on floors three to six. In total, the shopping center houses 25 stores, as well as restaurants of different formats.

From the city center: take bus #3A or #9 from the "Opera and Ballet Theater" stop to the "Bus Factory" stop, or take bus #18 from the "Customs Square" stop to the "Bus Factory" stop.

From the train station: take tram #9 from the "Torfyana Street" stop to the "I. Franko Square" stop, then walk to the "Stryiskyi Market" stop and wait for bus #25 along the route to the "Bus Factory" stop.

Magnus

"Magnus", formerly known as the "Tovarnyi Dim" in the distant past (today renovated as the Magnus shopping center), was built in 1912-1913. It faces east on Shpytalna Street and south on Horodotska Street. The complete reconstruction of the TC "Magnus" and the opening of the updated facility took place in October 2020. In addition to aesthetic improvements, functional space was also taken into account. The number of dressing rooms was increased, including a room for mothers and children, as well as a comfortable space for people with disabilities. Everyone can charge their smartphone or other gadget on the second floor, where there is a public space adorned with trees, a chandelier composition, and a soft zone.

Slrynia

In this center, which has been in operation for over 16 years, there are both food and industrial retail stores. The 4-story building covers an area of 8.5 thousand square meters. "Skrynia" is located 1.5 km away from the center of Lviv, on the longest and busiest street in the city, near the Main Railway Station. A wide range of products for children and adults, men and women, leisure and sports, and for furnishing your home is presented in the shopping center. The best way to finish your shopping is with fragrant coffee and delicious desserts at the "Coffee time" café, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city from its windows.
